The Memory Cafe with Live Music scheduled for Thursday, February 23, has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather until Thursday, March 23, 2023.

The monthly “In the Moment” Memory Cafe offers opportunities to network, enjoy refreshments, connect with a caregiver support specialist; and—if you like—join in creative projects and interactive learning. Staff and volunteers will be available to assist caregivers and participants.

Mass Home Care’s “Enough Pay to Stay” Coalition—including Lisa Gurgone, CEO of Mystic Valley Elder Services (left), and Kathryn C. Wong (9th Essex)—presented at the Massachusetts State House on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, about what Aging Services Access Points do and how they work with providers to advocate for better, sustainable rates for home care aides.

GLSS will award two $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors who attend one of the eight high schools in its service area of Lynn, Lynnfield, Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott.

During March, GLSS will be the recipient of donations made through the purchase of a Give Back reusable shopping bag from the Swampscott store located at 450 Paradise Road.
