The Family Caregiver Support Program invites caregivers and the people they care for to join in hands-on workshops in the Phoenix Food Hub teaching kitchen on the four Tuesdays in May (6, 13, 20,and 27) from 1:00-2:30 p.m. To RSVP or for more information, contact Michele Parr or 781-586-8635.
The Food and Thought program will explore the benefits of hydroponic gardening— a soilless growing technique with various advantages over traditional gardening, including water savings, faster growth, space efficiency, nutrient control, and higher yields. "These low-maintenance gardens are perfect for spaces like apartments and are easy to set up and operate, even for beginners," says Lynn O'Neal, LMHC, who oversees the Food and Thought program. Spaces are limited. Call GLSS at 781-599-0110 if you are interested in participating.
