Options Counseling is a free service offered by Greater North Shore Link—the Aging and Disability Resource Consortium in our area. It is for people of all ages who want to remain living in the community, safely and independently, or who are currently living in a nursing facility but who want to explore returning to independent living. GLSS is a lead member of this regional nonprofit.

When you know all your options for long-term support services that can help you live safely in the community, you can make better choices about your future.
If you’re at home or in a hospital or a nursing facility and need to make decisions about your future, you probably have a lot of questions about things like housing options, assistive devices, home modifications, ways to pay for things you need, community resources, and more. Our trained counselors can help you identify and sort through your options, so you can make the best possible choices.
Call GLSS at 781-599-0110 and ask to speak with an Options Counselor. You can schedule an appointment to meet either in person—at your home, the hospital or nursing facility—or by telephone or e-mail. Your family and caregivers are welcome to be part of the meeting.
Options Counseling is your right! It is free and funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
