If you live in qualified subsidized senior housing in Lynn (Caggiano Plaza or McGee House) or in Saugus (Laurel Towers, Laurel Gardens, Sweetser Corner, or Sachem Manor), help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, depending on your level of need.
Services available to all residents free of charge include:
A GLSS Supportive Housing Coordinator is available on site during business hours to answer your questions and make referrals for additional services through GLSS as needed. These services are available on a sliding-scale fee based on your income level:
The services listed above (with the exception of 24-hour-a-day assistance) are also available at Olive Street, a small shared living environment in Lynn, which offers independent living arrangements while also providing opportunities for group social and dining activities. Olive Street is a joint effort between GLSS and the Lynn Housing Authority.
GLSS also provides a Supportive Housing Coordinator during business hours and 12-hour-a-day staffing at St. Theresa House, an affordable housing facility for frail elders located in Lynn. St. Theresa House is a joint effort between St. Mary’s Parish, Maloney Properties, Anodyne Homemaker Services Corporation, and GLSS. This facility is funded through grants from local, state, and federal housing agencies.
Supportive housing is for residents of designated subsidized senior housing sites in Lynn (Caggiano Plaza or McGee House) or in Saugus (Laurel Towers, Laurel Gardens, Sweetser Corner, or Sachem Manor) who need help to remain living independently.
If you live at one of the residential sites listed above and need help to remain living independently, call the Supportive Housing Coordinator in your building during business hours.
