The March episode of GLSS TV features a segment entitled, “The Real Harry Crosby: Masters of the Air,” showcasing one of the characters from the book of the same name published in 2006 and now an Apple TV+ miniseries. It show-cases the experiences of the 100th Bombardment Group stationed in England during World War II. Featured prominently in both the book and series is Army Air Force Navigator Harry Crosby from Massachusetts. Masters of the Air was written by Donald L. Miller, Ph.D.; the Apple TV+ miniseries was created by John Shiban and John Orloff.

GLSS TV interviewed Harry’s son Jeff Crosby who lives in Lynn and is an active community member. Jeff, along with other family members including his sister Rebecca from New Hampshire, were flown out to Los Angeles for the screening of the pilot. Later, in the Boston area, a packed-house screening was held at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline. The segment features current and vintage photos of Harry Crosby and the family's adventure to Hollywood from both Jeff and his sister Rebecca.

Major Harry Crosby wrote a book about his experiences flying dozens of missions and serving as the Lead Navigator of the 100th Bombardment Group entitled A Wing and a Prayer. The book was published posthumously; Harry Crosby passed away in 2010.

The segment can be viewed on YouTube. It will also be seen on GLSS TV, which airs on local cable TV stations beginning March 1.
