About February’s “Music for All” Program with Bob Strom
Using traditional American Folk Music as a basis, Bob will incorporate familiar and some less familiar folk songs. With choruses in the program, everyone will be encouraged to sing along and/or clap hands.
Music is a multi-sensory experience; it engages listening, the tactile system, movement, and the visual system, which in turn allows all participants to engage in one form or another.
Bob has a Master's degree in Special Education. He has incorporated music into the curriculum while teaching transition skills, life skills, and functional academics. Currently, Bob works at North Shore Community College as an Accessibility Counselor and over the past 5 years has done a bi-weekly music program at Morgan Memorial (Goodwill) in Salem either on Zoom or live in person.
