GLSS is partnering with Uniper Care to bring you a FREE, easy-to-use, unique technology that turns your TV into a communication device. Using a simple remote control, you can switch between regular TV and the Uniper network to: chat with friends, family, or health care provider; participate in live classes and group sessions; or watch a variety of programs from a rich content library. Whether you're a senior or a person of any age living with a disability, if you have difficulty getting out of the house, Uniper gives you a way to stay engaged with others and combat social isolation!

How Uniper Works


Apply for the Uniper pilot program using the form below. There is no cost to you to join this program. Once you submit the form, a GLSS representative will contact you to determine your eligibility for the program and will submit your name and contact information to Uniper.


After you are enrolled, a representative from Uniper will call you to confirm your interest and will also confirm your address. Uniper will also set up a time for a technician to visit your home and install the Uniper equipment on your TV. This includes a small box that gets connected to the back of your TV and a small camera that gets mounted to the front of your TV. On the day of installation, the technician will call you right before arriving at your home. The technician will bring the equipment needed to get your service activated, including the camera and box. All technicians follow COVID-19 protective protocols while in your home.


A few days after the installation, a Uniper representative will contact you to review the use of the equipment and remote and prepare your contact list for video calling.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I apply for Uniper?

You may apply for the Uniper pilot program by filling out the form above, or you may contact GLSS directly by calling Andrew Wallace at 781-477-6702 or emailing awallace@glss.net.

What are the eligibility requirements?

You must live in the GLSS service area or in selected towns along the North Shore, and be over 60, or be any age and have a disability that makes it difficult for you to leave the house. There are no income caps or other requirements to enroll in the Uniper pilot program.

Can I still watch regular TV?

Yes, you can switch between Uniper and regular TV. A Uniper representative will explain how to use the remote and switch between the two. Once you have signed up, you will be given a tech support phone number to speak directly with a Uniper representative to help you with any issues you may encounter.

I am not a GLSS consumer- can I still use Uniper?

Yes, you do not have to be a GLSS consumer to use Uniper services. If you are 60 or older, or you are an adult living with a disability, and you live in the greater Lynn area, you may qualify for this free program.

Can I meet with my primary care doctor on Uniper?

Yes, as long as your doctor or medical office is part of the Uniper network.

How much does it cost to join Uniper?

This pilot program is free - there is no cost to you to join.

Is the camera always on?

No, you control when the camera is on or off. Your Uniper representative will go over how to use the equipment and will provide you with a customer service phone number.

What if I decide I don't want the service?

You may cancel your membership any time - just call GLSS and we'll walk you through the steps. Please contact Andrew Wallace at 781-477-6702.
